Method 2

Another method to measure a size of the ring, is to have her wear an actual ring (an old ring or a dummy ring) and use that as a sample. This is actually a very effective way to get the exact size. We can help you make the ring based on this.
The only thing is, don’t let the surprise go in vain!

Tips to follow:

  1. Body Temperature is important. Ensure you measure at the proper room temperature.
  2. Measure the ring circumference atleast 3 times. Ensure you measure the comfort level.
  3. Ring types matter. Broad band style rings need a more comfort level of fitting, whereas thinner rings can be fit tighter.
  4. Always, fingers are different. Sometimes finger bones are thicker, sometimes the skin is rough. In such cases, go for the slightly larger size.
  5. In case of a larger sized ring, in majority of rings, there is a chance to reduce the size by 1 or 2 nos

Fun Ideas to borrow ring samples:

(Note: These are made in zest and pure fun.)

  1. Borrow it from her Collection.
  2. Play Games, Some couples play it more often, this can be an element.
  3. Compare your fingers.
  4. Fake it, Take her to a Jewellery store and let her choose a jewellery casually. When she visits the ring counter, observe which designs fits her well, which style of jewellery she likes. Remember, this activity should be few weeks or months before the actually gifting.
