  • Shape check, Real pearls are rarely perfectly shaped.  They are imperfect or have small surface dots, etc.

For a Ring ( Astrological Purpose)

  • Minimum weight it is believed should be 7-8 ratti (6-8 Carats)
  • It is worn on last (little) finger of right hand.
  • The pearl should touch the skin.
  • It is suggested that before wearing, it should be dipped in Gangajal/ Yamunajal/ Narmada water or cow milk for atleast 10 min.
  • While wearing, one can recite the mantra , “ Om Chandraya Namah”.
  • Pearl can be stud with Silver or Gold while made as a Ring.

For Jewellery (Aesthetic Purpose)

  • When someone wears Pearls for Aesthetic there is no such set of rules as to how to wear. It can be worn as a necklace tied with thread, it can be stud on Gold/Silver Jewellery pieces or can also be intertwined in complex handmade Jewellery.
  • The only logic we would suggest to use is that the Pearls should be woven/stud/attached in such a manner that they become more visible and at the same time are placed on top or side of jewellery. In this manner, least amount of damage can happen to the pearls in terms of wear and tear.
